FAQ - Read This!
Please read all of them, especially the last one.
Q: How much are movie tickets?
A: Tickets are $7.50 for all shows, which is comparable to senior and matinee rates of most other cinemas who can't offer our experience. We prefer cash but we will accept credit/debit cards for tickets and with a $5 minimum purchase at the food bar.
Q: What is your dress code? A: Casual. Just shirts and shoes. And pants.
Q: Can I eat in the theater?
A: Yes. We do not disturb you with a waitstaff so you must order your food at the food bar after you buy your ticket at the box office. It only takes a couple of minutes to get your order and you take your food into the theater where we have bistro tables with comfortable chairs. We also have trays that fit into the cup holders if you choose to sit in the regular theater seats.
Q: What time should I arrive?
A: We recommend arriving 20-30 minutes before show time if you plan to eat with us or if you have a party of three or more and want to sit together. We begin selling tickets and seating for a show 40 minutes prior to show time.
Q: Do I have to eat or can I just come see the movie?
A: You can come see a movie without eating. However, if we are getting busy and starting to fill up and others are needing a table for dining, we ask that you sit in the regular theater seats. We have trays that go in the cupholders of those seats but it would be nice of you to give up the table for diners.
Q: Can I bring my own food and drinks?
A: No. That would be like bringing your own food into any other restaurant. Even if we could allow it, if others see you doing it they might start doing it, too - then we'll be out of business. We keep very little of the box office dollars and we rely on food sales to stay in business. Our prices are very affordable. We are a licensed restaurant with full ABC permits. It is unlawful for you to bring in your own alcohol.
Q: Do I need reservations or can I just show up?
A: You don't need reservations but we recommend them on an opening weekend, around holidays and for popular movies since some shows sell out and since we do not sell advance tickets.
Q: How does the reservation system work?
A: We take reservations for any movie that we already have a show time for - even days in advance. We hold your reservation until 10 minutes prior to show time. If you aren't here by then, we give up your seats if we have people waiting to get in. We do not reserve a specific table or seat for you so we recommend arriving early to pick your favorite seat. We begin seating 40 minutes prior to show time.
Q: Can I make a reservation via voice mail, email or through your website?
A: No. We only accept reservations via telephone so we can verify that we have seats available.
Q: I've been trying to call and get your voice mail. Why don't you answer the phone?
A: We make every effort to answer the phones but sometimes it's not possible when we are seating for a show, cleaning up after a show or if we're on the phone. We arrive to open the cinema one hour prior to our first show. If you call earlier than that, you'll get our voice mail.
Q: I have a reservation so can I cut through the line and go get my seat while my friend or spouse is in line to pay for our tickets?
A: No. Seating is first-come basis and the people in line ahead of you get to choose seats first.
Q: I have a group of several people but I'm the first one to arrive. Can I buy my ticket and save their seats?
A: Only If you buy all the tickets for everyone in your party. Otherwise, your party may not be able to sit together since seating is first-come basis.
Q: How much does it cost for a private party or meeting? A: We have great rates for luncheons, parties, private events, meetings and fundraisers. Click HERE for our rate sheet and call us for more information at 828-697-2463.
Q: My friend gets great response from advertising at the cinema. How can I put my business on the big screen? A: It's literally pennies per show and our attendance is over 25,000 people per year. We also include your business on our website and in our newsletter that goes out to over 5,000 subscribers every week. Send us an email through our CONTACT PAGE and we'll send you the rates.
Q: The internet has the wrong show times. What's up with that? A: There are a lot of websites, such as AOL, Yahoo, Fandango and others who post show times and they aren't always accurate. The BEST way to get our show times is right here on OUR website. If we make a mistake, we'll take responsibility for it but we have no control over the other sites.
Q: Why don't you put dates on all of your coming attractions?
A: It is RARE for us to know the exact dates we can play some films and since we only have one screen, we can't always play films on their release dates - but we try. Sometimes we find out on Monday what we will be playing on Friday. We ALWAYS post our schedule as soon as we know it so check back with us often or sign up to have show times delivered to you via email by clicking HERE
Q: I have a really
cool smart phone i-thingy and I can't go more than five minutes without
texting or emailing or facebooking or tweeting with my friends. Can I do
any of that while the movie is playing and people are staring at me?
A: Uhhhh. No.
